the fact that mobility aids are advertised towards medical professionals is so ridiculous. theyll produce the most boring sanitized videos and images of cripples who arent even allowed to smile or frown or fart or do ANYTHING as the nurse transferring them rolls them into a sling and hoists them into a lift. not even when demonstrating the "open leg position" like come ON. you know if crips were running this shit itd be the funnest shit imaginable. if you were dangling from the ceiling on your personal lift in the open leg position youd be having a fucking blast and everyone would know it: everyone SHOULD know it. we cant stand but we can have a good time!

Notes: this is like a fever dream, Kalim X Reader, not really romantic, fluff, more chaos than love, 

Talking to yourself you questioned how to make the broom fly up. See, the problem was how you could make the broom fly down or side to side. Truly a tough question, in fact it caught the eye of a certain dorm leader.

???: ______! You: Kalim! Is there something wrong? Kalim: You looked like you were having trouble riding the broom, so I came over to help!

Kalim wasn’t one to lie about helping people, plus he was the opposite of your dorm leader when it came to broom riding.

You: I don’t know if it’s possible, I mean I heard ocean dwellers have a hard time in the air. Look at those three. Only Floyd is up in the sky. Azul is hopping everywhere, and Jade is barely floating. *sigh* But, what do you propose?

A few minutes later~

Gripping tightly to the broom you hopped on with Kalim on his. He would be there in case something went wrong. Following his instructions you took a deep breath, then you started to rise gently off the green grass. Accordingly, Kalim told you to believe in yourself and imagine you flying to make it easier. Shockingly enough it turned out to be quite profitable. Unlike before you could now fly in any direction possible.

You: WOW! Kalim, I did it! I can fly! I gueeeeesssss! Kalim: Huh? Why are they getting closer to the ground?

Turns out there was a little more than just believing in yourself when it came to flying on brooms. Kalim quickly hopped onto his broom to save you before gliding into the nearby building.

You: It’s okay. It’s okay. You’re just gonna hit a tree then wind up in the infirmary. Wait, I can't end my life here!

Taking control of the broom you tried to steer away from the building. Thankfully it ended successfully, but you slowly felt yourself slipping. With Kalim still chasing you in the sky it made it nearly impossible to save yourself. Especially since the ground was inching closer and closer with each passing second. Trying to save yourself from crashing would be much harder than the last. Considering how fast you were going you decided to accept fate.

Kalim: ____! Open your eyes! Please tell me you’re safe! You: Oh nooooo! I took you to die with me and hell looks like NRC!! Azul: I’m in deep pain, could you remove yourself from me ____. You: Dorm leader! Why are you in hell too? Jade: Fufufufu. Look at that pile of second years. Floyd: Azul~ I didn’t know you three were so close to those two~ Shall I join you guys?

Turns out it was Kalim who saved you, but after the event you fainted and landed on Azul.

You: I guess, it’s good to have you around Kalim. Kalim: Hehehe. Thanks! You can rely on me next time for flying lessons too! You: I’ll ask Jamil for that.
